Traditional RA-4 Color Printing in Dubai

Lab Al Awal offers hand-made analogue color printing from color negatives using the traditional RA-4 process in our photographic darkroom in Dubai.

Unlike digital inkjet printing, an RA-4 print is produced photographically: the image from your color negative is projected onto traditional color photographic paper using an enlarger, then chemically processed to create the final print.

Hand-Printed from Your Negative

Each print is made individually in the darkroom. Exposure, color balance and density are adjusted during the printing process to achieve the desired result.

We can produce working prints, final prints and exhibition-quality enlargements from suitable color negatives.

Assisted Color Printing

Photographers who would like to participate in the process can also book an assisted RA-4 printing session and work together with our darkroom printer.

Test prints and additional adjustments may be required before producing the final print.
